We are the first point of contact for children’s illnesses and injuries.
As a one-stop resource for children’s health issues

We provide general pediatric care and allergy treatment.
Our role as a “one-stop resource for children’s illnesses” is to accurately diagnose any abnormalities in a child that their family has noticed, and to determine the specific condition and establish a treatment plan aimed at early treatment and recovery. Based on this, we refer patients to specialized medical facilities—such as otolaryngology, surgery, or ophthalmology—as needed. It is precisely because we are a pediatric department that we specialize in diagnosing and managing children’s illnesses.
To give an example, if a child comes to the clinic with an earache, conditions that can be treated with ear drops can be managed in the pediatric department. However, cases requiring surgical intervention—such as inner ear injuries—require the specialized expertise of an otolaryngologist. Making these distinctions is part of the specialized expertise of a pediatrician.
How is it different from other specialized medical fields?

Pediatrics is the medical specialty that deals with children’s illnesses.
Pediatrics is one of the medical specialties. However, unlike other specialties, pediatricians are not limited to treating only conditions within their specific field; they have a broad range of knowledge that allows them to diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries across various fields. That said, if a child requires diagnostic or treatment equipment not available at the hospital, the child will be promptly referred to a specialist in that field.
Pediatrics serves as the first point of contact for children’s illnesses and injuries.
Guidelines for Seeking Medical Care and Scope of Treatment

If your child seems different from usual (e.g., listless, lacking appetite) or you feel that they are not feeling well, please take them to see a doctor right away.
Acute illnesses: fever, cough, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, etc.

A Message from the Director

江口 尚彦 EGUCHI Naohiko
Pediatrician
Allergy Specialist
Delegate to the Okayama Prefectural Medical Association
Director of the Okayama City Medical Association
Hello, I’m Naohiko Eguchi, the clinic director.
The children call me “Mr. Koala.” I was born and raised in Okayama City.
I have always loved providing peace of mind to the local community through outpatient care—it has been my dream. To that end, after working in the pediatric departments at Okayama University Hospital, National Fukuyama Hospital, Ako Central Hospital, Kojima Municipal Hospital, and the National Hospital Organization Okayama Medical Center, I opened Eguchi Pediatrics on July 1, 2005.
I examine every patient with the same care and dedication I would show my own family, and I am committed to ensuring that each patient receives the best possible medical care.
“Maximum Results with Minimal Treatment”
Guided by this motto, we will strive to earn the trust of families by keeping in mind the future of their children—10 and 20 years from now.
You can find Eguchi Pediatrics from “SPACE”

Because it’s pediatrics, let’s do something that inspires dreams.
With that in mind, to commemorate our 20th anniversary, we’ve installed a landmark so that Eguchi Pediatrics can be spotted even from space. I’m sure this will help “alien children” find Eguchi Pediatrics, too.
